Output Co-Producer
No more digging through endless libraries of samples.
Finding the right audio samples for a song is time consuming, clunky, and often halts the creative momentum that is essential to the songwriting process.
Co-Pro listens to the rhythm + harmony of your track to quickly find the perfect samples.
This is a tool that helps musicians seamlessly find, preview, and implement audio samples into their projects.
It listens to your track, analyzing the rhythm, harmonics, key, and bpm to find samples that fit right into your music.
Everything is synced to the key and bpm of your song, so pulling in samples is as simple as dragging and dropping.
Musicians can stay in the flow state, with more time creating, and less time searching.
Approaching AI with an
artist-forward ethos.
As a team of musicians, we highly value the integrity of art and the journey of creation. We wanted to harness AI to assist with the monotonous tasks, and not the creativity.
Co-Producer keeps the art in the hands of artists. It is a tool in the toolbox, not the end result.
Downwrite
Musicians don't make enough money from music.
Only 11% of musicians earn enough income from their music to support themselves financially. Many artists must work multiple jobs to get by.
With the rise of streaming platforms, the music industry is in a state where most artists barely see any money from the music they create. On average, Spotify pays about $0.003 per stream, with the majority of that money going to record labels.
Empowering musicians to make a living from their craft.
Originally built in 2013, this complete re-design of the platform empowers musicians to make money from their craft. It does so by connecting customers seeking custom songs with artists that fit their project. Then, facilitating with the project details, contracts, and delivery.
1 song commission
=
400,000 streams
Each song commission on Downwrite earns an average of $400. In order to make that amount on Spotify, an artist would need around 400,000 streams.
And that assumes the artist doesn't have to further split the streaming royalties with record labels, bandmates, or other entities.
Creating a measurable impact
When compared to original version of the website, the new platform saw huge impacts across both the artist and customer experiences.
~2X average earning per song commission
Significant increase in repeat customers
~90% reduction in CS emails per commission
Improved retention of artists on the platform
Living Architecture
More screens are not the future people want.
Instead, let's bring architecture to life.
People are already innundated with too many screens in their daily life. What if we could provide the flexibility of digital context, with the warmth and seamlessness of your natural environment?
A product built in partnership with Hilton Hotels, to bring dynamic content to physical spaces in an unobtrusive and engaging way.
The prototype
The first instantiation of Living Architecture came to life at the Hilton Innovation Gallery. Visitors were immersed in a themed experience, and could interact with dynamic content in a engaging way that reacted to their movements.
The first prototype was so successful, that it inspired further investment and R&D into expanding the Living Architecture concept.
Envisioning future applications for the tech
In the context of Hilton Hotels, the vision was greater personalization and customization for guests, with an ecosystem of connected services and devices, and self-sufficiency for resorts and hotels.
From a wider perspective, the vision crossed over into a variety of potential applications across multiple industries.
